The 2025–2026 school year has ended; final exams are over. The results are in and they are GOOD!

52 ninth grade students took the national high school entrance exam and 45 passed! This allows them to graduate from the fundamental school and continue to the next level of education in Haiti. Their successes demonstrate the quality of education at the Ecovillage school.

Academic results

Total 531 students enrolled.

·      528 participated in the promotion examination to pass to next grade level

·      459 passed and 69 did not pass

·      overall school pass rate for the school year was 87%

School leadership shared that the year went well “because we did not experience any major problems, and each teacher had enough time to complete the curriculum.” Despite worsening insecurity in Haiti, “God continued to protect the parents, students, and teachers throughout the school year.”

Community Resilience

Students celebrated the end of the school year with a joyful closing ceremony. Their achievements are especially meaningful given the challenges families continue to face—failed crops, food insecurity, inflation, and high stress throughout the region.

Yet the EcoVillage School remains a beacon of stability and hope. These strong academic results reflect the dedication and perseverance of students, teachers, the principal, and parents who continue to push forward despite hardship.
